As the European branch of parent company Cape Reed International, Cape Reed SL has been operational in Spain since 2008 and has since become well known for our exquisite pool entertaining areas, luxury outdoor entertainment areas and overall exterior architecture with natural, sustainable materials.

Placing specific emphasis on quality workmanship and structures, our expert thatchers and carpenters use only the best materials for our natural thatch and timber structures. Our structural timber is harvested from FSC managed forests and pressure treated with Tanalith® E (TanE) wood preservative to ensure an environmentally friendly durable and high-quality product.
Furthermore, we exclusively use cape reed thatch (thamnochortus insignis) harvested from organic farms for our natural thatched structures. This specific type of thatch reigns supreme when it comes to insulation, resistance to rot and longevity compared to other thatching materials. Cape Reed SL partners with Endureed whenever a client or project requires synthetic thatch.

Fire-Resistant Innovation
Safety is paramount in every Cape Reed International project. Their innovative fire-retardant thatching method incorporates a fire-resistant cloth (Firebloc) into the thatch during construction. This remarkable material can withstand temperatures of up to 500°C, providing peace of mind to inhabitants. Moreover, the application of Cape Reed Fireshield enhances fire resistance. This chemical application, meeting international health and safety standards, is expertly sprayed onto both exterior and interior surfaces.
